Welcome to ShareCam Studio ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and permissions when you use the ShareCam Studio Android application, Desktop software, and related services.

1. Data Collection & Transmission

ShareCam Studio is designed to be 100% local and private.

• No Cloud Servers: We do not operate cloud servers for video or audio routing.
• Local Network Only: All video, audio, and telemetry data transmitted by ShareCam Studio is sent exclusively over your Local Area Network (LAN) or direct USB connection.
• No Analytics or Tracking: We do not embed third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or telemetry tools that send data to our servers or third parties.

2. App Permissions

To function as a wireless webcam, the ShareCam Android app requires the following explicit permissions from your device:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Required to capture video data to be streamed to your computer. The camera is only active while you are actively hosting a stream.
• Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Required to capture live PCM audio to stream to your computer. Audio is only captured when the stream is active.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CAMERA & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE): Required so the app can continue streaming video and audio in the background (e.g., when you use the OLED Saver mode or switch apps).
• Network State (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, INTERNET): Required to host the local HTTP/WebSocket stream server on your Wi-Fi network so your PC can connect.

3. User Data Protection

Because the app operates entirely locally, we do not have access to, nor do we collect, process, or store any of your personal information, video feeds, or audio data. Your streams are entirely confined to your own hardware.

4. Children's Privacy

ShareCam Studio does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Since all data transmission is local, we have no mechanism to collect such information.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
